Weigh Wednesday and THANK YOU

I found her! I found her!  Well... she found me!  The wonderful and thoughtful blogger swap gift was from Kirsten at

Thank you so much Kirsten, for sending it, for being so thoughtful, and for finding me so that I could thank you properly!  Kirsten's blog is adorable, and I hope that you will stop by and get some awesome beauty tips and tricks, recipes, and fashion tips.

I have been slacking in the blogging department this week, but not so much in the workout department. I guess it is all about making time.  I love to blog about my experience, but not at the cost of not meeting my goal weight or completing a half marathon, and if I have to miss a blog day or two to succeed I will.  I hope that you all understand.  My goal is still to blog 5-6 days a week, but if once or twice a week I have to chose between workout time and blog time, then workout time has to win, plus if I don't workout and lose weight, I don't have much else to blog about :).

I got up at 5am this morning and went to the gym, it was wonderful!  I will say I got a little bit of the spooks and may have sprinted from the car to the door armed with mace.  The only people in the gym that early were a few old guys, it was perfect.

Today is Weigh In Day and I am happy to say that I am down another 1.5 pounds! YAY!  With that I have decided that the serial weighing has probably gotten a little out of hand, so as of today, I am going to take a break from the scale, until the last week of June.

I am finding myself stepping on the scale more than just every morning, but also every night and sometimes several times a day.  It has never really bothered me, maybe because I feel pressured to succeed, but I can feel that this is going to be overboard soon or morph into something that it shouldn't be.  I think the best thing to do is to rip it off like a bandaid and go cold turkey.

I will still blog and still workout, I am just going to stow that little scale in the bathroom cabinet and not think of it again until the end of the month.  Here is the deal, I know I am eating right because I listen to my body and stop when I am full, I am getting in 4-5 good solid workouts a week minimum, there is no need to verify with a scale.

What are your weighing habits?

Well, Christie, you inspired me! I started reading your blog entry, and when I got to the part where you said you were going to choose working out time over blogging time, I felt guilty about not getting in my cross-training today, so I stopped reading and went out for a 20-minute bike ride! :)

I weigh once per week, on Monday mornings. I might hop on and off the scale four or five times in that 3 minutes, but once I've set my number (and it never changes no matter how many times I hop, lol!), I don't weigh myself again until the following Monday. Surprisingly, I have pretty good scale discipline!

Yay! You go girl! :) I was starting to get up early q morning to blog, but then saying I was too tired to get up and workout? Nuts! Thanks for sharing your scale story! When I return to weighing at the end of the month my goal is to weigh once a week!
